Original Piqelo research · US product coverage
How much independent research backs Piqelo’s product catalog?
We analyzed the professional-review and owner-evidence fields attached to 415 US-market product configurations in Piqelo's own October 2026 research catalog. Televisions currently have the broadest owner-source coverage. Monitors have many professional sources attached, but far fewer entries with owner evidence. These are transparent coverage measures, not claims that Piqelo physically tested the products.
Key finding
Owner feedback is the biggest research gap in monitors and laptops
Monitor owner-source coverage is 10.6% (5/47), even though 78.7% have at least one professional source attached. Laptop owner-source coverage is 10.8% (9/83); televisions reach 35.8% (102/285). This is an evidence-availability finding about Piqelo's catalog, not an estimate of how many customers like these products.
A review article or laboratory measurement helps assess picture quality or performance. Owner feedback addresses usability and recurring issues, but individual owner comments are not proof of a failure rate. Piqelo keeps these categories separate; where credible evidence is missing, the coverage remains incomplete instead of being imputed.

Blue outer bar: at least one professional source. Mint inner bar: at least one owner source. Both show fractions of that category's tracked US product configurations, not review quality.
Interpreting the numbers
What the research does — and does not — establish
One product record per tracked size or material hardware configuration; only catalog rows marked for the US market with model years 2024–2026 are counted.
At least one editor-curated professional source attached to the exact product record. A source may test a different size and carry an explicit series-level applicability warning.
At least one source entered in that product’s owner-source field. This does not show a uniform number of reviews or establish long-term reliability.
A source editorial-profile state, based on eligible findings and maturity. This is independent of the durable Piqelo Score publication and retailer price verification.
Computation: counts come from Piqelo's first-party products records filtered to market_scope=true, US categories and model years 2024–2026, joined on exact product ID to product_editorial_profiles. Professional, owner and editorial counts are based on the saved source/profile fields at the stated UTC time. Eligible findings are summed from each record's eligible_claim_count. Machine-readable definitions and the three original aggregate rows are provided so these statements can be checked. This is a fixed editorial snapshot and does not update when a retailer changes a price.
Limitations: this is a study of Piqelo's own coverage, not US market share, Google ranking data, a product reliability survey or a new product lab test. A missing or inapplicable source is not counted as verified independent testing. Source availability and the catalog can change after publication. Our methodology and affiliate independence are explained in Piqelo's methodology and editorial policy.
For US buyers and researchers
Read the actual underlying buying advice
The source-coverage numbers guide where Piqelo needs more evidence; they do not rank models or retailers. Compare real buying trade-offs in the 65-inch TV guide, review exact hardware in the 16-inch laptop guide, explore monitor buying research, or inspect the LG G6 and Sony BRAVIA 8 II independent-test cross-check.
If you cite these data, identify them as Piqelo US research-evidence coverage, October 20, 2026, and include the snapshot date so a later catalog count is not confused with this historical observation.
