83-inch OLED, 85-inch 8K or a 98-inch screen?
These are different purchase decisions. An OLED comparison is useful when pixel-level dark-room contrast matters; a large LCD comparison is useful when screen scale and daytime use lead your brief. The 98-inch QN990F also gives up the smaller versions' 4K240 input mode. Compare documented performance and a real delivered price, rather than letting resolution settle the choice.
Do not mistake a product page for available stock
The dated research found sold-out, discontinued, redirected, ZIP-dependent and special-order routes. A displayed clearance or manufacturer price is not automatically an in-stock new-unit offer. Are these real 8K televisions?
Yes. Each included US configuration is supported by manufacturer evidence for a native 7,680 x 4,320 panel. A model name containing 8K is not enough to classify a television.
Will an 8K television automatically improve every movie?
No. Source quality, processing, contrast, reflections, motion, screen size and seating all matter. Everyday lower-resolution material is scaled for the panel; that does not recreate detail never captured.
Do you recommend one 8K TV as the overall winner?
Not without comparable exact-model evidence and current new-unit offers. This guide groups confirmed families by their features and explicitly stated research status.
Can smaller-size lab results be used for a larger screen?
They remain research context. Matching-size numerical results retain the source and conditions; a different tested size is not presented as a measurement of the current panel.
Which Samsung 8K models support Dolby Vision?
The checked included Samsung specification records do not list Dolby Vision. LG QNED99T lists Dolby Vision; compare that format alongside the rest of the documented picture and connection package.
